Homes In The US Selling Faster in 2020

When you list your home, you don’t want it to sit on the market for months and months. You want to get an offer and make the sale as quickly as possible.

Well, as it turns out, if you’re hoping to sell your home quickly, now is a great time to make a move. 

According to realtor.com’s August 2020 Monthly Housing Trends Report, the average home for sale in August 2020 was on the market for 56 days—five days fewer than August 2019. And homes are selling even faster in more in-demand areas. In the 50 largest metros in the US, the typical home sat on the market for just 45 days—a full week less than August 2019.

So, what does this mean for you? In today’s market, low inventory and high buyer demand is causing homes to sell fast—making it the perfect time to sell (and sell quickly).
